San Deigo Basketball

Come on out to the best game in town – Secret Squirrel Pick-Up Basketball. Our weekly co-ed games are just like your normal pick-up game, except with a touch of organization to help everything flow smoother. Everyone who comes out to an event (18 and over, please!) is guaranteed to play, and the teams will be randomly assigned by the organizers, and most likely mixed up throughout the night.

The games are fairly competitive, which means everyone plays hard, and there’s an incentive to win (winning teams generally get to stay on the court for another game, depending on the number of people sitting out), but our first priority is still to have fun, and we try not to take the game too seriously. We have a wide range of skill sets, and everyone is welcome to come out, whether you were a college superstar, or you’re just learning the game.

The two events we are currently offering are four-on-four full court games on a shorter court (Tuesdays in Ocean Beach) and five-on-five full court games on a longer (high school size, at least) court on Wednesdays at Ocean Air Rec Center (in Carmel Valley). We always have a good turnout and a good mix of regulars and new people. We are also planning to add some tournaments and possibly league play in the future!
